Immensely short on time, and not able to go into Lima’s city centre in Peru. I made sure to visit the city’s Circuito Mágico del Agua, or Magic Water Circuit in English.
It had me totally mesmerised!
Lima’s Magic Water Circuit is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city. Located in Parque de la Reserva, it holds the Guinness World Record for the largest fountain complex in the world! The circuit is a series of fountains and water features that stretch for over half a kilometre.
I was particularly impressed by the Rainbow fountain. It steals the show with its vibrant hues and dynamic water display set to music.

For a truly absorbing experience, you can also walk through some of the fountains like the Dream Maze fountain above! As you step into this magical labyrinth, water arches gracefully guide you through a maze of liquid walls. Illuminated by a kaleidoscope of colours.
The Tangüis Fountain below, is a captivating display that pays homage to the vibrant cultural heritage of Peru. Named after the renowned Peruvian painter Ignacio Merino, who was also known as Tangüis, this fountain combines water, light, and art in a gorgeous symphony.
These are just a few of the 13 cybernetic fountains on show. A couple more I also really liked was the huge Magic fountain, and the lovely Harmony fountain below.

Practical Info
The Magic Water Circuit operates in the evenings, creating a magical atmosphere as the sun sets. Typically, the fountain shows go from 3pm til around 10pm. The best time to visit is around dusk to witness the transformation from daylight to the beautifully lit evening displays. There is a small charge of 4 Peruvian soles ($1.60AUD), or you can choose to go on a guided tour for around $40AUD.
