Pictured above with my daughter, this lovely attraction is home to a vast array of sea creatures and marine life. As soon as you step inside, you’ll come across wonderful exhibits and interactive displays. And there’s floor to ceiling aquarium walls to boot that captivate visitors of all ages.

You can see everything from colorful tropical fish to giant clams and coral. Providing an unparalleled look at the region’s underwater ecology. And its located right on the next sight:

2. Anse Vata

If you’re looking for a beautiful and relaxing spot in Noumea, then Anse Vata promenade is a good place to go. It’s a scenic walkway situated along a gorgeous stretch of turquoise waters and white sand beaches.

Lined with cafes, restaurants, and shops, Anse Vata is a trendy beachfront neighborhood in Noumea. Head over there at sunset for stunning views of the water or enjoy a leisurely stroll along the scenic promenade. There are several beachside restaurants and cafes that serve delicious local cuisine.

3. Place de Cocotiers

If you’re a foodie, then this market is a must-visit. You can also sample some of the local cuisine at one of the many food stalls.

 7. Îlot Maître

Just a short boat ride from Nouméa, Îlot Maître is perfect for a day trip. It’s ideal for snorkelling, diving, and enjoying the pristine beaches. There’s so much sealife around the island including this guy’s mates. Highly recommend staying at DoubleTree by Hilton Noumea Ilot Maitre Resort if you can. The overwater bungalows are absolutely stunning, and I can’t wait to return one day!

8. Tjibaou Cultural Centre

Designed by architect Renzo Piano, the Tjibaou Cultural Centre is a tribute to Kanak culture. The centre features traditional and contemporary art, performance spaces, and beautifully landscaped gardens. It’s a must-visit to understand the indigenous heritage of New Caledonia.
