First Trimester Recap

9 week DEIVF baby growing

I haven’t done pregnancy updates on here as regular as I thought, but here’s a recap about my first trimester.

We have now ‘graduated’ from Fertility Associates, to now being under the care of Wellington Obstetrics.

Tomorrow I hit 12 weeks pregnant, almost into the second trimester, and I feel so incredibly blessed to get to this point.
The first trimester has been very kind to me. I’ve had only a few mild symptoms, the main one being fatigue.

I’ve been keeping myself in a cautious bubble of sorts. As I reach the second trimester, I am feeling a little more secure that we will meet this little one!

I also haven’t really taken any bump photos as there’s not much of one! So it still feels rather surreal and unreal, kind of like having an imaginary friend!

As there are days where I feel totally normal, it’s hard to believe there is a baby growing in me. I am looking forward to when it starts kicking my insides 🤣

Today also marks my last day taking progesterone and oestrogen meds (been taking 6/day & 3/day respectively), as the placenta will be producing enough of those hormones from now on, YAY!! 🥳

It is quite crazy to see my veins a lot more visible! As there is a lot more blood pumping around, and I’m fair skinned, my veins are very noteworthy in my household at the moment, and so too is my bosom! haha!!
